The Curriculum area of Creative Industries provides a wide range of courses at different levels in Performing Arts, Music Technology, Media Production and Production Arts, as well as specialisms in Art & Design, such as Fashion, Textiles, Costume, Graphic Arts, 3D Design and Photography.
A new Art Centre at the Nantgarw Campus which incorporates printmaking, reprographics facilities with a 3D workshop and specialist studio. An area is dedicated to fashion, textiles and costume with an industry standard pattern cutting and machining workshop, dye facilities and several large light purpose designed studios. The graphics/ photography and digital design section consists of a darkroom, photographic studio, life drawing room, computer & digital design studios and two large graphic art studios.
This complements the Media & Performing Arts centre at the Rhondda Campus, which boasts a two hundred-seat auditorium along with dance, rehearsal and recording studios.
The range of vocational courses prepare students to enter these exciting industries through personal creative development, underpinned by knowledge and technical skills, within a supportive and professional environment.
