NVQ Level 1 Customer Services

The course consists of five mandatory units and one optional unit. These cover the aspects of customer service that are expected at a junior level role.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, although an appropriate work experience is needed

What will I study?

The units you will study are: Mandatory Units Prepare yourself to deliver good customer service; Communicate effectively with customers; Do your job in a customer friendly way; Provide customer service within the rules and Recognise & deal with customer queries, requests and problems. Optional Units (A choice of one of the following) Maintain a positive & friendly attitude or Adapt your behaviour to make a good customer service impression.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by your tutor on your work on an ongoing basis. There will be no examinations, just continual support and guidance. You will need to produce a portfolio of your work which will be externally assessed and when satisfactory will be accredited with an OCN qualification.

Career Opportunities & Progression

On successful completion of this course you could progress to NVQ Level 2 Customer services.
