Students and staff celebrated at the Graduation Ceremony held at the University of Glamorgan this week, as the first cohort of students to study at Coleg Morgannwg (Rhondda Campus) graduated with a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies.

Programme Leader Shan Bowen stated, “The team are delighted to share this special occasion with the students’ family and friends. It is extremely satisfying to celebrate our student’s achievements. The students are deserving of their degree, they have worked hard and combined academic study with employment”.
Course Tutor, Julie Hixson said, I’m sure the students will do equally as well in their studies for their B.Sc Hons Degree at the University of Glamorgan, the college is proud of their achievements and they have been a pleasure to teach”.
Graduate, Susan Reville stated, I’ve really enjoyed the course, meeting new people, making new friends and learning so much about child development. Wendy Evans and Laura Griffiths both agreed, they had enjoyed the thought provoking discussions. Reflecting on her future Carly Ryan said ‘I can’t believe I won’t be going to the Rhondda campus again, the two years have flown by, and I’ve really enjoyed the experience”.
Sadly two students, Paula Loring and Tracy Sully missed the graduation ceremony but sent their best wishes to their fellow students.
